• The final season will have only six episodes.
• It will not be air until 2019, however, each episode will be almost 2 hours.
• Plus the weather reasons because in every season we have heard that wait for the winter so finally winter is here. 
• Winter is coming 

generally, we have heard almost in every season that winter is coming but it never came but I guess the winter is here and we all will see what is going to happen once the winter hit the north and the capital.

Many of you would think that why we have to wait until 2019 to watch the finale of GMO as the HBO announce back in January 2018 that the final season 9 will air in 2019 with no affirmation on the date.

However, still, people like us would think that its a long way up until 2019. so the directors of GMO are taking all the precautions against piracy of the show throughout the world because in season 7 the whole season was watched by people from across the world with almost 36 million people and the season finale episode had 12 million viewers, which makes it the first most watched tv show throughout the world.

Though it was one of the pirated TV show of all time, with almost over 36million viewers season 7 was leaked before the airing time to keep in mind the directors are trying to make the show secure and more productive throughout the world

Additionally, the longevity of waiting for the show to air will end in 2019 with the season finale hit the ground for the people to watch.
The season 8 production was commenced back in October 2017, along with the same directors Weiss and Benioff,  and David Nutter will be directing the whole season which makes it even worse for people like us with the question in mind when will it be air, I hate to say that it will hit us in 2019.
